MotionCam U Jeweller is Ajax’s PIR motion detector with camera, adapted to comply with UK regulatory requirements. The built-in camera captures photos when motion is detected, delivering visual evidence of alarms to the Ajax app within 9 seconds. HDR technology ensures clear detail even in challenging lighting conditions. These features enable quick alarm verification, helping to reduce unnecessary patrol dispatches and ease user anxiety.

More than a photo. Faster than a video.

MotionCam U Jeweller starts capturing images the moment motion is detected — even before the intruder knows they are caught. An animated series of photos is sent instantly, following the alarm, allowing users to assess the situation quickly. Thanks to HDR technology, the camera delivers clear visuals in both bright and dark environments. To achieve this MotionCam U Jeweller takes two photos at different exposure levels and uses a special algorithm to merge them into a single, balanced frame with optimal lighting and detail.

Privacy first

The event log stores up to 500 recent system events, providing details such as the device name, time, and event description.

The Privacy menu in Ajax apps allows for precise control over visual data access. MotionCam U Jeweller takes photos only in the event of an alarm. The detector's software architecture does not support on-demand photos. Only users and security professionals with access to the event feed in Ajax apps can see the photo.

HDR for challenging lighting conditions

MotionCam U Jeweller captures clear, balanced images using an advanced optical system, a CMOS sensor, and HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology. HDR improves colors and contrast by combining photos with different exposures into one. This prevents images from being too bright or too dark. As a result, photos look more colorful, detailed, and natural — just like we see things in real life.

No intruder goes unnoticed

All Ajax motion detectors use PIR sensors by Excelitas Technologies, a field-leading American manufacturer specialising in designing and producing optronic components since 1931. Ajax Systems constantly proves the sensor’s superior quality at the production stage: we test 100% of manufactured devices. This approach ensures the utmost accuracy of intrusion detection.

The detector’s sensitivity can be adjusted via Ajax apps to suit specific site conditions. PRO users can choose from three sensitivity levels to balance detection accuracy and false alarm prevention. The sensitivity setting changes the set of markers by which false alarms are filtered. Low sensitivity makes the detector less likely to respond to an active pet. High sensitivity raises the alarm in case of any motion in the detection zone. The optimal setting can be determined during installation via the detection zone test. The setting can be adjusted at any time when the system is disarmed if environmental conditions change or false alarms occur.

Stable and reliable performance

MotionCam U Jeweller is equipped with high-quality batteries from proven manufacturers only. In addition to real-time testing during battery production, Ajax Systems inspects every unit to ensure the accuracy of the batteries’ characteristics. The batteries provide stable performance at a temperature from –10 °C to +40 °С.

Unique wireless technologies

Ajax systems use two-way secure radio communication based on Jeweller and Wings proprietary protocols. Radio protocols work in parallel and focus on their own function, guaranteeing instant data delivery even in the event of communication interruptions or a weak signal.

Communication through steel and concrete

Some facilities have thick walls, metal partitions, or sheer distances that affect signal quality. Ajax range extenders are designed to increase the range of a wireless network and deliver stable connection with a hub despite the obstacles. And by choosing the model with an Ethernet cable connector, you get an additional communication channel. А single system can accommodate up to five range extenders.

System supervision

The device performs automatic self-diagnosis and reports its status to the hub. Essential parameters, including tamper alarms, communication, power supply, and sensor statuses, are continuously monitored. The Ajax Cloud server controls communication between the hub and Ajax apps, ensuring instant notifications for ARCs, and users. In case of any malfunction or communication failure, an engineer is informed immediately to provide necessary services.
